Ei42.com - A Revolution In Cash Back?
I've previously looked at cash back sites in parts one and two of the incredibly popular Cash Back: How to Make Money Online series. Since then hundreds of clone cash back sites have popped up, I've largely ignored them as they offer nothing new or exciting.
This was until I was contacted by a new cash back site that offered a slightly different model, one that benefited you and your friends. The site Ei42 (E is for Everything, I is for Internet, 42 is the Answer to Life the Universe and Everything) sets you up with your own on-line store which you earn cash back through. Anyone else you get to use your on-line store will also earn you cash back.

People can also join Ei42 through your store and earn themselves cash back. As a reward you get 10% of the cash back they earn. If other people then sign up through your friends store you still earn cash back, this time 4%. As the model expands and more and more of your friends and their friends join and spend through the site you still earn money.
The store is the most impressive part of the site, the way they have integrated products from different merchants is different to any cash back site I've seen before. The themes leave a lot to be desired aesthetically but are usable and well structured.
However compared to other cash back sites such as Quidco and Rpoints Ei42 does not show you how much cash back you will get from each purchase. The creators state that they want to remove the worry involved in using a cash back site and having to work out how much you will earn from each purchase.
From the people I've shown Ei42 they think its a great idea because you can make money out of your friends however they would not use the site as they don't know how much they would be making. One person made the example that if Quidco no longer offered cash back then you would have no incentive to use Quidco and if you do not know how much you are making from each retailer how can you decide who to buy from?
I would like to see Ei42 expand on their store and provide web masters with ways to integrate the store into their own sites - so for instance I could sell products through ImAFish earning cash back. They could even provide Facebook widgets of products allowing people to buy and earn cash back that way.
Ei42 is evolutionary rather than revolutionary and I've found it hard to see it more than a cash back site. Ei42 has removed an important part of the cash back process and replaced it with a complex referral program. Your own store is impressive but needs to be taken to the next level so web masters can integrate it with their own sites and social networking profiles.

This really does work. This is a new site which is proving to be very popular.
You basically earn a bit of cash back on anything you buy from your shop, but you will also get commission on anything that is bought from your friends shop, and your friends friends shop, and so on for 7 levels - thats the beauty of it.
I think this is a great idea!
The scale of opportunity is huge! I've just made my first purchase through Amazon.
The best part is you don't have to buy stuff to join etc. You buy stuff when you wish to buy stuff that you would have bought anyways (that's a mouthful)!
I was a bit suspicious at first but then figured out I have nothing to lose! So, you might as well give this a try and see it work for you and your network!

I have about 40 friends so far and have recieved a payment in the first month, just for shopping for everyday goods that i would have done anyway.

I searched for bad reviews about ei42 but obviously everyone who posts about it says a good review as they want people to join. So I guess we'll never know how successful it really is!

From what I've seen it's not been a massive success, I have 33 friends and have so far made £1.22 in commission. The problem I think is still that cashback amounts are not high enough to convince people to use the site.
Then again if I had made more effort to promote my Ei42 shop then I might have more friends who in turn might be making more cash back.
Its a great deal for people who can sell the site, its not such a great deal for people who actually use the site.Â

I think that affiliate marketing (that is promoting other companies websites and they pay you commissions for sales achieved)
is by far the best way to make money on the internet.
infact I love this method so much i have produced a website which details other programs available at www.homebusinesszone.co.uk
and have recently added ei42 to my working list.
But it only works if you are willing to be dedicated and enable focussed activity to promote it.so that you get about 20-50 members siged-up under you.
Then the group grows by itself and with time can be very large this is when you see the commissions growing.
So it is not a get-rich scheme but it is possible to create a residuall (monthly) income from it.
I don't understand why I would want to give some of my cashback to friends rather than keeping it to myself... There are cashback websites that give me 100% of cashback without any complicated referral programmes or without taking money away from me.
Yoanka, you obviously have no idea of the power of networking! Would you rather have a million pounds or 1p that doubled every day for a few months?! I love the ei42 concept, I got involved 8 days ago - I have over 130 in my team and around £6 in commissions - wow, a whole £6 I hear you say! Just think what that will be by Christmas........this little site is a super mix of affiliate marketing, mlm and social networking - brilliant! And the great thing is no-one has to change their shopping habits, just buy the usual stuff but get paid for it!

The thing is that you need to rely on what others buy and hope they buy a lot so you can get a bit from it. This is nothing but a simple pyramid structure which was proven to be useless and is banned in many countries. Only those at the top of the pyramid can earn some decent money when all at lower levels struggle and earn mentioned £6 or so. Idea behind LinkedIn social network was that anybody on earth knows any other person through no more that 5 friends/colleagues/relatives/connections. Taking that into account, how many more people you can recruit? I wish them and their members all the best but I personally prefer earning cashback on what I buy and make sure it a maximum possible amount. I have used www.quanti.co.uk for a few months now and can't think of anything better - 100% cashback, prompt payments, discount codes and communication when you need anything.

How can goeorge say that it's a pyramid? Inverted maybe but not in the negative. I say this because one of the people I have shown makes more than me because they have shown it to more people........
James, I've not managed to get to the payout amount. Sort of given up on EI42, been concentrating on other money making methods.

It's a great idea and similar website have been available in the US for a little while and there are a number of other UK based sites which let users bookmark products they like, then earn a referral from all that they 'sell' to their friends. Shopping sites and cashback sites have been merging into social cashback shopping and community sites which share the commissions available due to online marketing budgets with everyone who helps to spread help and advice about products they like. It's all about sharing product recommendations with your friends. A genuine referral is always the best form of marketing after all!
